Parachute Injury Prevention would like to hear from you!

Many concussion resources are aimed at children and youth, parents, coaches, health professionals and other adults in roles caring for children and youth. Older adults who have experienced a concussion may not feel represented in these resources or that any resources have been developed for them or with them.

To start addressing this gap, Parachute, a national injury prevention charity, is developing an informational resource about concussion specifically for older adults, in English and French. They are seeking input from adults ages 50 years and older, caregivers of older adults, healthcare professionals, community services providers, and any others who engage with older adults.

Parachute, founded in 2012 through the amalgamation of four charities in the injury prevention field, has become Canada’s leader in injury prevention focused on three key areas where people are unintentionally injured: in the home, at play, and on the move. We educate and advocate for preventing serious injury in our homes, in sports and recreation and on our roads.
